Instructional Design/LMS Administrator - Fort Worth, TX

The Instructional Design/LMS Administrator will be responsible for the analysis, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of learning programs within the Learning Management System (LMS). Scope will include content design and re-design for e-learning, virtual and instructor-led delivery in addition to curriculum planning, and LMS administrative tasks. The role will require the management of multiple design projects based on the prioritized training needs of the organization. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Consult within the corporate training team and with appropriate lines of business on best learning solutions and strategies to achieve the desired performance objectives
  • Apply instructional design and adult learning theory to propose solutions that are cost-effective, easy-to-create and maintain, visually and instructionally compelling and provide a rewarding experience to the learner
  • Recommend and design new content leveraging the most effective design medium to meet learner and organizational needs including ILT, virtual, e-learning, job aids, print and/or blended solutions
  • Develop written knowledge tests for course completions
  • Establish and maintain process standards that produce content deliverables aligned with instructional design concepts and company practices
  • Ensure documents (policies, procedures, and work instructions) are relevant and consistent with training course materials and content
  • Review, edit, and re-design existing curriculum as needed including converting existing written material developed prior to implementation of the LMS into LMS supported materials
  • Identify performance outcomes of training initiatives via evaluation techniques including surveys, reviews and metrics analysis to summarize the impact of training initiatives
  • Perform administrative tasks within the LMS including maintaining all user profiles, managing learning assignments, applying rules, administering notifications and pulling and distributing reporting data
  • Develop and maintain appropriate technical skills to support the material creation process using Articulate, Prezi, Microsoft Suite, WebEx, and other available tools
  • Provide quality assurance for all instructional design processes and deliverables (e.g. accuracy in grammar and content, application of learning theory and sound instructional design principles, and use of appropriate templates and branding)
  • Ensure online content and instructional materials are up-to-date and staged for usage for all current training programs
  • Republish courses and troubleshoot courses when necessary
  • Escalate to management any deficiencies, problems, or concerns that might be a potential risk
  • Partners with the Talent Development Manager to coordinate global initiatives
  • Manages special projects as needed 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in E-Learning design
  • 2+ years of experience in training and development
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or Education preferred
  • Certification in instructional design and/or e-learning design preferred
  • Experience in mortgage/finance is preferred
  • Ability to work on and track multiple projects at one time, while resolving problems with little or no supervision
  • Experience in Articulate and/or Prezi preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Excellent follow-through and attention-to-detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in task, time, and data management abilities
  • Must be a team player and able to work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines within strict timeframes
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
  • Ability to interact with others, both in person and through the phone, email and written correspondence
