Luncheon Meeting, Friday, May 29th, 2015 - Talent Development at BNSF Railway
BNSF Railway is a top transporter of the products and materials that help feed, clothe, supply and power communities throughout America and the world.
Located right here in Ft. Worth, BNSF has a rail network of 32,500 route miles in 28 states and 3 Canadian provinces. The company is a result of the merger between Burlington Northern, Inc. and the Santa Fe Pacific Corporation.
When the company was formed by the merger in 1995, leaders at the time had to consider the kind of company they wanted BNSF to be. Knowing they had the same locomotives, infrastructure and equipment as their competitors, the executive team quickly realized the differentiating factor would be its people. Since its merger, their talent development strategy has been a cornerstone for how the company is run.
Join us at BNSF’s company headquarters for lunch on May 29th. Diane Ossenkop, Director of Leadership Development at BNSF Railway, will explain how their talent development strategy is helping shape the future of the company. You will learn about their annual People Leader Training which has been in place since 2000, as well as how consistency in leadership messaging has evolved the company culture.
$15 includes a light lunch.
11:45 am - 1:00 pm BNSF Corporate Headquarters 2650 Lou Menk Drive Fort Worth, TX 76131
