The Future of Learning is Experiential: The Power of Learning from Failure

Viewing a failure not as a dead end but rather a learning opportunity, empowers us to rise above almost any defeat. Matthew will share strategies for turning failures into stepping stones. Whether a personal failure, a team non-success, or an organizational strategy misstep (anyone remember new Coke?). We can look forward to garnering concepts that we can apply in corporate, team, and individual contributor situations as well as in our personal lives.

Matthew Confer is a leader with a passion to develop the leadership and decision making skills in others.

Matthew is an accomplished speaker and presenter as well as being an ATD member with a heart for all things ATD. He has presented not only at ATD National events, Matthew also presented a stimulating TEDx talk in 2019. Additionally, he contributed a series of articles (14 in total) on LinkedIn and currently conducts the bi-weekly Apple Podcast “Learning to Lead.”

Our speaker serves as the VP of Strategy and Business Development at the Abilitie company. Abilitie is a firm that creates and runs Leadership Development Immersive Simulation training. The company has enhanced leaders in over 30 countries and helped more than 50 members of the Fortune 500 list including Coca-Cola, Marriot, Target, and the University of Texas.
