Leveraging Neurodiversity for Organizational Improvement

Presented by: Jeff Miller

Explore how a neurodivergent workforce can elevate your organization. Research suggests that 25% of the U.S. population identifies as neurodivergent and of this number, 40% remain unemployed. Organizations that tap into the wide range of experiences that shape thinking, learning, and perceiving the world can enhance the workplace in many ways, including improved recruiting, retention, and employer brand metrics. Neurodivergent workers contribute their talents, skills, and perspectives in ways that can directly benefit your organization’s mission and support productivity and performance. Organizations of all sizes have scaled up programs that emphasize neurodiversity to increase hiring capability during a time of talent scarcity. Join us to learn how you can leverage neurodiverse initiatives for organizational effectiveness.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES

  • Define Neurodiversity and its impact on workplace culture.
  • Identify implications of implementing neurodiversity programs.
  • Identify steps that any organization can take to leverage neurodiverse talent fully.

About our Presenter

Jeff Miller is the CEO & Founder of Potentia Workforce, a consulting firm that helps organizations to improve recruiting and retention metrics by leveraging the talents of skilled, yet often overlooked neurodistinct individuals including those with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, PTSD, and other cognitive differences.

Jeff is an executive with more than twenty-five years’ experience leading highperformance staffing & consulting organizations providing innovative solutions to the communities they serve. He has launched and led businesses in the twenty largest markets in North America and across four continents.

Prior to Potentia, Jeff was President of a global staffing firm based in Texas – delivering record profits and closing four acquisitions while also serving on the Board of Directors. He also overhauled the sales process for another global recruiting firm, resulting in record new sales and a region of the year award.

Earlier in his career, Jeff built out a staffing arm for a global engineering firm and a Georgia-based healthcare consultancy, leading both to successful acquisitions. He also executed a successful turnaround for a DC-based staffing firm, taking an underperforming region to its first year-over-year growth in three years.

Jeff began his career for a Boston-based staffing and consulting firm where he opened and built their West Coast operations. He then took on a turnaround for an unprofitable market, earning top performance awards 3 years consecutively.

After his son was diagnosed with autism, Jeff founded Potentia. He is a sought after thought leader and has appeared numerous times on television, at conferences, and in print – sharing his experiences on leadership, talent and finding your purpose. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Gateway Academy, a Houston-area High School for students with learning differences.

A graduate of Williams College, Jeff lives in the Houston area with his wife Samantha and awesomely cool son, Charlie.
